Manager/Director of Product Marketing
Founding Product Marketer to own positioning, launches, and enablement across Runway's Creative, Dev, and Robotics businesses. Build launch systems for a fast-moving AI company, then scale and lead the PMM function. Requires 7+ years PMM experience with technical/fast-paced products.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own Runway's positioning across Creative, Dev, and Robotics businesses. Partner with co-founders and exec leadership to define company and product positioning.
- Own the content and positioning of marketing properties and launches to ensure a sharp, consistent story reflective of Runway’s ambitious brand.
- Build the product launch operating system, including a launch tiering model, clear cross-functional expectations, and a repeatable path from product readiness to announcement.
- Drive competitive intelligence across creative tools, developer/inference platforms, and robotics markets. Develop a living point of view on competitive positioning and translate into product and messaging decisions.
- Enable GTM teams (sales, partnerships, support) with a lightweight product enablement process, providing current messaging, positioning, and proof points.
- Hands-on execution: write positioning, launch narratives, and enablement materials. Regularly engage with customers and the field.
- Build and lead the product marketing team over time, starting as the primary hands-on PMM. Raise the bar on craft and speed.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product marketing, including time leading PMM for technical or fast-moving products at meaningful scale.
- Track record of positioning and launches that moved the business.
- Exceptional positioning and narrative craft; ability to translate research concepts and technical products into compelling stories and messages.
- Thrive in rapid pace, high accountability culture; move fast, make decisions with incomplete information, and focus on shipping.
- Experience as a systems builder, designing launch and enablement processes from scratch (e.g., tiering, cross-functional rituals, fast-turnaround workflows).
- Sharp competitive instincts with ability to track markets and form a point of view.
- Comfortable marketing to creators, developers, and enterprise buyers; quick to gain credibility in new domains like robotics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
