Acceptance of terms

Hotfix Jobs is operated by Hotfix LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. "We", "us", and "Hotfix" mean Hotfix LLC.

By accessing or using Hotfix Jobs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and Hotfix Weekly subscribers.

Hotfix is available worldwide and carries jobs from many countries, but we make no claim that it is appropriate or available in any particular place. You are responsible for complying with your own local law when you use it, and we may limit availability in a country at any time.

Description of service

Hotfix Jobs is a job discovery platform. We pull jobs directly from supported company career pages (Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Rippling, and Gem) and use AI behind the scenes to extract and enrich job data including skills, salary, and role details. Features include search with filters, AI Search (which reads a plain-language description and ranks open jobs against it), notifications when matching jobs are posted (alerts), a watchlist for tracking opportunities, similar job discovery, in-app apply to supported hiring systems, and Hotfix Weekly (a Friday magazine covering what’s moving in tech hiring). Job seekers use the service for free. AI Search is available to every signed-in account with a shared daily limit (10 new searches per UTC day and 5 turns per session). The paid product is Featured placement for employers, as described under Featured below. Hotfix Jobs is a tool for job discovery and is not an employment agency, recruiter, or employer.

User accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each person may maintain only one account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Hotfix Jobs. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you provide to Hotfix Jobs, including your resume and profile data. By uploading content, you grant Hotfix Jobs a limited, revocable license to process it using AI solely for the purpose of providing our services to you. You can revoke this license at any time by deleting your content or your account. We never share your content with employers, recruiters, or third parties, except when you explicitly submit an application through our in-app apply feature, in which case the contents of your application are transmitted to the company’s applicant tracking system.

AI-generated content

Hotfix Jobs uses AI to generate job extractions, job summaries, and company enrichment data, and to interpret and rank results in AI Search. When AI Search reads criteria from your prompt, those criteria are shown to you and you can remove any it got wrong. All AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or up to date: AI Search may misread a prompt, and extracted job details such as salary or seniority may not match the original posting. Always confirm details against the company’s own job before relying on them. AI-generated content does not constitute professional career advice.

Featured

Job seekers use Hotfix for free. Standard search and job pages do not require an account. AI Search, alerts (up to five), the watchlist, and a stored resume require a free account, not a paid plan.

Employer promoted jobs. Employers may pay to feature a role, priced per job and shown at checkout before payment. Promoted jobs do not affect job-seeker access. Claiming and managing a company profile is free. Featured placement is always labeled as such and never changes the underlying job data.

How you are billed. Featured purchases on the web are processed by Stripe. Stripe may not accept payments from every country. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and partial periods are not prorated or refunded. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU. You have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Nothing in these terms removes a right your local consumer law does not let you waive.

Changes to the service. We may add, change, or discontinue features.

Acceptable use

You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage. You may not attempt to interfere with the service, access it through unauthorized means, or reverse engineer any part of the platform. You may not use the service to distribute spam, malicious content, or any material that violates applicable laws.

Intellectual property

Hotfix Jobs and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hotfix Jobs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Jobs displayed on the platform belong to their respective companies. AI-generated outputs are tools to assist you and do not constitute professional advice.

Limitation of liability

Hotfix Jobs is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost employment opportunities, decisions made based on AI-generated content, data loss, or service interruptions. Your use of Hotfix Jobs is at your sole risk.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can delete your account from Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Upon account deletion, your personal data, profile information, alerts, recent searches, AI Search prompts, watchlist, resume data, and application records are permanently removed from our systems.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Hotfix agree that any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of Hotfix will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and both of us consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where your law gives you that right.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Hotfix Jobs after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
