Manager, Presales Customer Engineering
Leads and coaches a regional Customer Engineering team while partnering with prospects, customers, sales leaders, and internal technical teams. The role requires at least five years managing a pre-sales team, strong technical communication, escalation-management skills, and familiarity with the ANZ market.

Responsibilities
- Coach, develop, and enable the Customer Engineering team while serving as a player/coach who steps into the field when needed.
- Work with prospects and customers to improve the team’s technical expertise and create scalable customer solutions.
- Manage workloads, conduct 1:1 meetings, and monitor team members’ strengths, performance, happiness, and development goals.
- Act as the escalation point for team issues and coordinate unresolved issues with relevant teams.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and support new team members.
- Cultivate open communication, positive culture, independence, knowledge sharing, and cross-team coordination.
- Build strong relationships with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Legal, Account Executives, Customer Success leads, and other internal teams.
- Maintain relationships with key customers in the territory.
- Lead the team toward PoC close-win-rate and sales-quota achievement targets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a manager in a pre-sales team.
- Good understanding of the ANZ market.
- Experience leading technically skilled teams through technology adaptation and evolution.
- Demonstrated coaching, leadership, and team-management capabilities.
- Experience resolving escalations, team issues, and management scenarios.
- Experience leading teams to deliver results against sales and PoC targets.
- Strong technical expertise and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Curiosity, willingness to build hands-on, and a customer-success mindset.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in solutions consulting, engineering, software development, product management, customer support, or project delivery.
- Experience working with cross-functional and regional teams.
