Enterprise Sales Engineer
Enterprise Sales Engineer who partners with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, evaluations, demos, and adoption for Datadog customers. Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to own the technical strategy across enterprise sales opportunities from pipeline generation through Closed Won.
- Lead customer discovery and translate technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria into tailored Datadog solutions.
- Deliver product demos, technical presentations, and workshops connecting platform capabilities to customer outcomes.
- Project manage technical evaluations end-to-end, including use-case scoping, requirements, success criteria, project plans, timelines, and accountability.
- Identify and cultivate technical champions within customer accounts.
- Participate in product and engineering feedback sessions as the technical voice of the customer.
- Maintain accurate activity, deal-progress, and customer-interaction records in related systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and GTM teams to resolve technical blockers.
- Travel as needed for customer engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and communicate with technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
- Strong communication and consultative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
