Senior Partner Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Guide customers and partners in designing and building reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform.
• Work with advisory consulting partners on reference architectures, patterns, and AI blueprints.
• Articulate the business and technical value of MongoDB solutions.
• Partner with account teams across startup and enterprise accounts.
• Support technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and technical documentation across multiple opportunities.
• Translate technical concepts into business benefits for executives and management.
• Gather field feedback for the Product Management team.
• Participate in trade shows and account-based marketing events.
• Mentor pre-sales team members and share best practices.
• Build trusted relationships with technical partners, influence decisions, and address objections.
• Develop partner Center of Excellence strategies and create demand for MongoDB solutions.
• Build joint client proposals with partners.
• Drive solution architecture strategy and implementation across the regional partner ecosystem.
• Mentor partner organizations on general IT and application operations.
• Map industry trends and competitive threats to partner account bases.
• Travel up to 25%.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of related industry experience, including ideally 2 years in a partner-facing role.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
• Experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience reviewing complex application architectures and recommending improvements.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical and business concepts to technical and business leadership.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional sales teams throughout the end-to-end deal cycle.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with major cloud providers.
• Technical pre-sales experience.
• Database programming and data modeling experience.
• Experience with data engineering or AI/ML projects.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• MongoDB certification.
• Cloud provider certification.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven architectures, DevOps, cloud, and security.
