Responsibilities
- Understand customers’ application and dataset portfolios, IT and business priorities, and success measures to design digital transformation approaches involving MongoDB technologies.
- Translate customer use cases, pain points, and needs into scoped projects and statements of work.
- Partner with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success to develop account strategies and drive MongoDB adoption, growth, and utilization.
- Own deals and technical scoping from inception through closure.
- Manage the Professional Services pipeline, bookings, and revenue forecasts for the region.
- Articulate the business value of Professional Services and advise on service delivery challenges, strategies, approaches, and risk mitigation.
- Develop repeatable assets such as estimates, proposals, statements of work, templates, tools, and case studies.
- Transition agreed project scope and customer expectations to the delivery team.
- Mentor team members and share best practices.
- Travel for key engagements and team offsites.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience selling Professional Services and/or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
- Experience as an architect, consultant, project manager, or Professional Services manager.
- Experience positioning and selling Professional Services internally and carrying a quota for Professional Services bookings.
- General knowledge of databases, including RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Knowledge of software architecture across cloud and on-premise technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with account teams on complex account strategies and sales plays.
- Ability to scope and estimate projects.
- Strong presentation skills for communicating the value, capabilities, and differentiators of complex service solutions.
- Fluency in English.

- Proficiency in German, Dutch, or French.
