- Manage 3-5 engineers across multiple teams and specializations (Product Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, Design Engineers), hiring 3-5 more.
- Provide feedback on product and technical specs, coach ICs on scope and quality decisions.
- Grow engineers to handle large, loosely defined projects independently.
- Code/debug customer issues, ship bug fixes, improve developer experience while staying hands-on.
- Propose and lead initiatives like rethinking PR reviews, improving interviews, generating demo data.

- Enjoy coding and staying up-to-date on technology.

- Could have been (or was) a Principal Engineer.
