Responsibilities
- Lead a core team of five engineers, distributed with a majority in New York City.
- Lead team ceremonies; prioritize, delegate, and coordinate projects.
- Contribute hands-on code, including isolated features, small remediations, and investigation follow-ups.
- Participate actively in operations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Promote operational excellence by organizing gamedays, conducting operational reviews, and proactively improving reliability.
Requirements
- Strong distributed-systems expertise, including understanding varied failure modes.
- Experience with end-to-end observability, validation testing, and simulation setup.
- Experience working on platform teams that provide critical infrastructure to internal stakeholders.
- Experience handling significant incidents as both a responder and follow-up owner.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong coding foundation, including performance optimization and profiling.
