Engineering Manager - Property Management
Leads the engineering team responsible for property-management platform capabilities, data models, integrations, APIs, and production reliability. Requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, technical leadership, backend expertise, and strong database and distributed-systems knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design for property, address, unit, and operator/company data models.
- Guide integrations and data pipelines with external Property Management Systems, including synchronization, mapping, reconciliation, and observability.
- Make technical tradeoffs balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability; identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, reliability, and security across Go, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL systems.
- Improve code and design reviews, team processes, tooling, and developer experience.
- Translate business goals into technical plans, scope and sequence work, and drive predictable delivery through production support.
- Maintain on-call and runbook ownership, lead major incident response, and drive root-cause analysis.
- Provide stable API contracts, documentation, and backward-compatible migrations for platform consumers.
- Mentor and coach engineers and promote documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, peer teams, and engineering leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading a team as a Tech Lead, Tech Lead Manager, or Engineering Manager.
- Strong prior experience as a senior or staff-level backend engineer.
- Strong technical judgment and hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Strong database fluency, including schema design, query performance, scaling strategies, and relational or NoSQL operational characteristics.
- Experience owning data models, APIs, or platform primitives used by other teams as a source of truth.
- Experience with event-driven systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Track record of building high-performing teams that deliver reliable, business-critical systems.
- Strong execution, risk-management, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfort operating in a high-growth environment with ambiguity and competing priorities.

- Annual U.S. base salary: $190,000–$220,000.
