Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, improving execution velocity and technical excellence through modern AI-enabled development workflows.
- Own end-to-end IT automation infrastructure, internal product interfaces, and systems architecture supporting enterprise IT platform dependencies.
- Modernize operational systems and internal engines to automate manual workflows and multi-system communications.
- Build a unified software control plane for inventory management, device lifecycle, and IT operations.
- Participate directly in system-level trade-offs, architecture decisions, distributed-systems design, and core systems engineering.
- Partner with technology leadership across Inventory Management, Identity, Devices, and Product, as well as third-party systems and integration teams.
Requirements
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong technical depth in systems architecture, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
- Experience automating operational workflows and integrating multiple systems.
- Ability to work closely with senior technical stakeholders and contribute to architecture decisions.
- In-office work at least three days per week may be required for employees within the defined radius of a Rippling office.
Compensation

- ATS-listed salary range: $186,000–$310,000 annually.
