Responsibilities
- Lead the Growth Pod, a cross-functional team of full-stack engineers, a product manager, designer, and data scientist.
- Own the team’s roadmap and drive delivery of growth and experimentation initiatives.
- Build team health, culture, and processes while developing engineers’ careers.
- Manage performance, including difficult performance conversations when necessary.
- Stay hands-on with technical work by writing code, reviewing pull requests, shaping architecture, and coaching technical execution.
- Partner with product and design to ensure engineers own product outcomes.
- Operate effectively in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments.
- Use AI coding tools thoughtfully and maintain high-quality engineering standards.
Requirements
- More than 1 year of experience managing at least three engineers.
- Experience developing senior individual contributors and early-career engineers.
- Experience working in a high-performing product organization with strong product and design partners.
- Demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience.
- Experience using AI coding tools seriously in professional work.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in A/B testing, experiment design, and rapid growth-oriented product iteration.
- Experience with Go, TypeScript, Next.js, Temporal, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in legal, healthcare, financial services, or another industry involving complex professional workflows.
Compensation and Benefits
- Anticipated base salary: $195,500–$264,500, plus equity and benefits.
