Marketplace Partnerships Lead
Build and scale Built’s supply-side Marketplace partnerships across inspection, appraisal, title, environmental, and procurement services. The role owns partner strategy, commercial negotiations, vendor-network operations, and the development of a 0-to-1 partnership program.

Responsibilities
Design the Partnership Operating Model
- Build the end-to-end partner lifecycle: sourcing, qualification, contracting, onboarding, performance management, and renewal/expansion.
- Define partner tiers, SLAs, and quality standards for lender, owner, and general contractor customers.
- Create onboarding playbooks, performance tracking, and escalation paths to scale the vendor network efficiently.
Grow and Strengthen the Supply-Side Network
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and close partnerships with inspection firms, appraisal companies, title and closing providers, environmental consultants, and other diligence vendors.
- Run outbound programs across the existing vendor network to address service or pricing irregularities and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new service categories for the Marketplace catalog using ordering frequency and pricing standardization.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to develop partnership agreement templates and vendor qualification criteria appropriate for financial services.
- Work with Product and Engineering to define capabilities needed for a scaled vendor network, including partner APIs, marketplace UX, and order management.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in supply-side partnerships, vendor management, procurement, or business development, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, construction technology, or real estate services.
- Experience building a partnership program or vendor network from scratch.
- Deep understanding of marketplace or platform economics, including two-sided network effects, take rates, procurement margin, and partner unit economics.
- Experience negotiating and structuring commercial agreements involving negotiated rates, volume-based pricing, referral fees, and RFP-driven pricing.
- Strong operational skills and the ability to build processes, playbooks, and systems alongside partner relationships.
- Ability to balance strategic planning, commercial negotiation, and hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence executives and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort using data and analytics to size partner opportunities, model economics, and defend recommendations.
Six-Month Success Measures
- Partnership strategy and ideal partner profiles defined for existing service offerings, with a prioritized target-partner pipeline.
- Repeatable operating model established, including contracting templates, onboarding playbooks, SLA frameworks, and performance tracking.
- First cohort of vendor or channel partners closed and onboarded, with at least one category generating live transactions.
- Evidence-based roadmap created for the next wave of supply-side categories.
AI and Technology Expectations
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and speed.
- Apply AI to drafting, analysis, summarization, problem-solving, workflow automation, and strategic decision-making.
- Share effective AI use cases and best practices with the team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000–$140,000 USD per year.
