Software Engineer, Growth Infrastructure

Job Summary

Build and maintain scalable growth infrastructure for experiments, data pipelines, and automated systems driving user acquisition, engagement, and product iteration. Collaborate with product, data science, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Infrastructure & Systems

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure for growth and experimentation.
• Build and optimize analytics pipelines for key metrics (acquisition, activation, retention).
• Develop automated workflows for user onboarding, campaign delivery, and performance tracking.

Experimentation & Optimization

• Support A/B testing frameworks and integrate into production.
• Enable reliable data collection and evaluation for experiments.
• Automate deployment and rollout of growth feature flags and tests.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Growth PMs, Data Engineers, and Analysts to define technical requirements.
• Translate business goals into technical specifications.
• Provide guidance on performance, reliability, and scalability.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement monitoring and alerting for growth services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize uptime/performance.
• Ensure data quality for reporting.

Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate new tools and frameworks.
• Drive IaC, CI/CD, and automated testing best practices.
• Train and mentor teammates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years building backend or infrastructure services.
• Strong programming in Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Data pipelines, ETL, databases.
• CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experimentation platforms (StatSig, Segment, LaunchDarkly).

• Growth metrics and analytics tools (Amplitude).
• A/B testing systems and feature flags.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), distributed systems.
• Observability tools (Datadog).
