Manager, Distribution Readiness & Field Excellence

Leads sales coaching and readiness programs for a remote field organization, defining competencies, improving rep performance, and building scalable onboarding and development systems. Responsibilities

  • Lead 1:1 coaching, call reviews, ride-alongs, and group sessions focused on objection handling, consultative selling, and product positioning.
  • Define field-sales excellence through competency models, assessments, and feedback systems.
  • Design learning pathways for onboarding, ongoing development, and market launches in partnership with Sales Enablement.
  • Establish coaching cadences, development tracking, and structured feedback loops for field leadership.
  • Use Voice of Agent feedback, competitive insights, market data, and field observations to adjust rep behaviors.
  • Own the skill-development component of new-hire onboarding.
  • Manage and scale the coaching team while maintaining program quality.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Distribution Leadership on field launch strategy and execution.
  • Design agency-partner onboarding frameworks, content, and best practices.
  • Travel 30–50%.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales training, learning and development, or field enablement, with a record of improving field performance.
  • Direct 1:1 coaching experience, including observing sales conversations, identifying skill gaps, and delivering actionable feedback.
  • Familiarity with insurance or B2B intermediary channels such as agents, brokers, or advisors.
  • Experience building competency models and structured coaching programs from scratch.
  • Ability to translate sales principles into talk tracks, role-play scenarios, and tactical guides.
  • Strong credibility and influence with field representatives and sales leadership.
  • Clear, field-focused communication style.
  • People-management experience, including leading, hiring, and scaling a coaching team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building training infrastructure from the ground up in a fast-paced environment while supporting active field operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $149,625–$249,375 annually.
