Consulting Engineer
Consulting Engineer helping customers design, implement, optimize, and modernize MongoDB-based applications. The role requires at least two years of software development, consulting, or support experience, strong programming and database skills, and fluency in English and German.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer implementations across the application lifecycle, including portfolio assessment, application planning and design, deployment architecture, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimization, and best-practices adoption.
- Deliver classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations professionals.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams as part of a wider delivery team.
- Serve as a trusted MongoDB advisor to customers.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.
- Communicate technical proposals and the product roadmap to external clients.
- Travel up to 20% when required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience.
- Experience with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
- Proficiency in at least one of: Java, C++, C#, Python, Node.js/JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Scala, or Go.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to combine deep technical expertise with customer management.
- Confidence speaking and presenting in customer settings.
- Fluency in English and German.
