Responsibilities
- Develop inbound and outbound campaigns with the Sales team, from idea generation through qualified calls.
- Build sales and product knowledge and engage IT and business decision-makers by telephone, video, LinkedIn, and email.
- Update lead and prospect activity in Salesforce.
- Set qualified introductory meetings for the Sales team.
- Nurture early-phase opportunities for future pipeline potential.
- Exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity quotas.
- Build relationships with Marketing and Account Executive teams.
- Invest in self-development and build skills for future career growth.
First 90 Days
By the end of month 1
- Complete sales bootcamp training.
- Understand Kong’s product offerings.
- Understand how Account Development, Marketing, and Account Executive teams work together.
By the end of month 2
- Speak comfortably with clients by phone about Kong.
- Work with the Account Executive team on the first opportunity.
- Shadow calls and participate in role plays.
- Begin delivering against the ramp quota.
By the end of month 3
- Understand the sales funnel and contribute value to the sales organization.
- Demonstrate the sales methodologies.
- Provide insights to Account Development and Marketing.
- Deliver against the ramp quota.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of sales or customer-facing experience.
- Track record of hitting and exceeding goals.
- Comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and following up on incoming leads.
- Willingness to learn, react to feedback, and share lessons learned.
- Outstanding phone and written communication skills and active listening.
- Strong drive, work ethic, curiosity, and focus on achieving sales goals.
- Time-management skills and ability to work independently and with coaching.
- Desire to work in a driven, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for technology and aptitude to learn IT software products and business-critical solutions.
- Swedish-speaking ability.
