Manages a high-volume portfolio of startup accounts, helping founders adopt financial products, resolve issues, retain customers, and identify expansion opportunities. Requires 2–4 years of fintech, customer success, banking, or startup-facing account management experience.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first relationship contact for startups and help them realize business value from Mercury.
- Build relationships across startup teams, support growth and adoption of Mercury’s core product suite.
- Execute playbooks for consistent engagement across a large portfolio of early-stage startup customers, focusing on optimization, retention, and growth.
- Proactively retain and expand accounts while identifying high-growth startups and opportunities across the book of business.
- Advocate for the customer experience by collaborating with Sales, Partnerships, and Product teams.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive account growth.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in fintech, customer success, early-stage banking, or startup-facing account management.
- Experience working with founders or early-stage teams and comfort operating with ambiguity and speed.
- Ability to manage a large book of accounts using automation and playbooks while maintaining personal customer relationships.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness across Slack, email, and in-person events.
- Customer-first, process-driven mindset with interest in developing deeper relationship-management responsibilities.
- Strong documentation, proactive communication, and project-management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Series 65 license.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Compensation
- Base salary for US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $119,400–$134,300 USD.
- Base salary for US employees outside New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $107,500–$120,900 USD.
- Total rewards include base salary, equity, and benefits.
