Owns the commercial lifecycle for mid-market customers in Japan, combining consultative selling with live workflow design and technical customer engagement. Responsibilities
- Own the full customer lifecycle—including new logo acquisition, expansion, and renewal—as the single account owner for a book of business.
- Ensure credits sold translate into credits consumed.
- Design and build workflow solutions live with customers through discovery, current-to-future-state workflow architecture, and co-building in Notion.
- Partner with BDRs on target account planning and co-own outbound motions, including direct outreach to priority stakeholders.
- Navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security review processes.
- Guide customers through early implementation with a clear adoption plan and handoff to Outcomes Architects for ongoing multi-workflow expansion.
- Partner with Outcomes Architects on onboarding, adoption plans, expansion strategies, and renewal execution while owning the commercial arc.
Requirements
- Experience selling technical products to technical buyers in the mid-market segment, defined as companies with 500–2,999 employees.
- Technical fluency and comfort building live in software, including demonstrating, co-designing, and troubleshooting with customers.
- Strong discovery and qualification skills, with the ability to map customer workflows and translate them into commercial outcomes and adoption plans.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder interactions involving procurement, legal, and security reviews.
- Ability to operate with agency and urgency, introduce new ideas and workflows, and present simple solutions to complex problems.
- Strong interest in AI and a habit of building with emerging tools.
- Native or bilingual Japanese fluency and business-level English proficiency.
Nice-to-Haves
- Full-cycle B2B software sales or solutions engineering experience with a consistent track record of exceeding quota across new-logo acquisition and expansion.
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and credit-based commercial proposals.
- Experience selling productivity, collaboration, or workflow software to mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Experience with shared account ownership models involving post-sale or customer success teams.
