Responsibilities
- Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate quality metrics to support data-driven roadmap prioritization.
- Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction.
- Optimize end-to-end pipelines for quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for people and agentic workflows.
- Run failure analysis to address testing gaps identified in customer deployments.
- Partner with product management and engineering managers to implement quality standards from the beginning of the software development lifecycle.
- Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of test engineers focused on agentic workflows.
- Support standby, on-call, or off-hours duties as needed.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience establishing testing strategies and defining quality metrics for products deployed in SaaS and customer-managed environments.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and changes required for agentic development.
- Strong understanding of test architecture, test automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $225,000–$270,000 USD, dependent on geographic location and the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
