Subject Matter Expert, GTM GRC - Revenue

This customer-facing GRC subject matter expert partners with Strategic and Enterprise sales teams to scope compliance programs, advise buyers, support deals, and deliver enablement. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on GRC experience, strong framework knowledge, customer-facing communication, and practical AI fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated GRC subject matter expert for Strategic and Enterprise Account Executives throughout discovery, qualification, demos, proof-of-concepts, workshops, customer onsites, closing, and expansion.
  • Scope compliance programs across Compliance, Third-Party Risk Management, Risk Management, and Trust/Questionnaire Automation.
  • Advise prospects on multi-framework strategy, shared controls, business-unit and workspace scoping, custom frameworks, and audit sequencing.
  • Provide customer-forwardable answers through SME channels and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and quality.
  • Use AI agents daily, act as a quality gate for their output, and ideally build supporting tooling.
  • Design and deliver enablement sessions, bootcamp scenarios, mock-customer roleplays, asynchronous curriculum, and reviews of GRC marketing and SEO content.
  • Lead monthly alignment with sales managers, provide structured product feedback, and support post-sales handoffs.
  • Travel approximately once per quarter for customer onsites, workshops, offsites, and events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Governance, Risk, and Compliance experience, including building, running, or transforming multi-framework compliance programs or advising organizations on them.
  • Experience with frameworks and regulations such as SOC 2, ISO 27001/27017/27018/27701, HIPAA/HITRUST, PCI DSS 4.0, GDPR, U.S. privacy requirements, and NIST CSF 2.0.
  • Working fluency in at least one of AI governance, GRC engineering/continuous monitoring, or enterprise risk, with interest in the others.
  • Customer-facing experience with CISOs, founders, procurement teams, and enterprise buyers.
  • Production-quality writing for customer answers, scoping documents, and playbooks.
  • Demonstrated use of LLM tooling in compliance work and ability to evaluate AI output against authoritative sources.
  • Ability to train, present, publish, and deliver enablement sessions to large GTM audiences.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar sales process and strong audit-process knowledge.
  • Sound judgment in managing scope boundaries and applying AI responsibly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep expertise in two or three of Governance, Data Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, Continuous Monitoring, Privacy, Trust, and AI Security & Governance, with familiarity across all nine.
  • Experience with AI governance standards including ISO 42001 and NIST AI RMF.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 LA/LI, CIPP, CIPT, or AI-governance credentials.
  • Experience building AI-enabled compliance tooling.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $171,000–$201,000 annually.
