Sales/Solutions Engineer
Own technical discovery, proof-of-value engagements, and solution design for enterprise data platform customers. The role requires 5+ years in solutions or sales engineering, strong data architecture expertise, and familiarity with databases, cloud warehouses, cloud infrastructure, and Kafka.

Responsibilities
- Own the technical win for enterprise deals, from technical discovery through close, in partnership with Account Executives.
- Run structured proof-of-value engagements with clear technical success criteria and mutual action plans.
- Analyze customer data architectures, including databases, pipelines, cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and pain points.
- Map customer architectures to Artie capabilities, including change data capture, Kafka, cloud data warehouses, and replication patterns.
- Whiteboard solutions and guide customers through integration design.
- Deliver technical presentations to engineers, data architects, platform leads, and executives.
- Translate log-based CDC, schema evolution, and real-time replication into business impact.
- Surface field insights to Product and Engineering to inform the roadmap.
- Automate manual workflows with AI and improve productivity.
- Partner with Engineering post-sale to ensure seamless customer handoffs and support.
- Help define solutions engineering standards and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer in enterprise or similarly complex environments.
- Deep familiarity with at least one RDBMS, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2, including troubleshooting, logging, archiving, and query plans.
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud data warehouse, such as Snowflake, Iceberg, Databricks, or Redshift.
- Familiarity with the data stack, including Kafka, dbt, and BI platforms.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and sufficient networking knowledge for technical solutioning conversations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt technical depth for engineers and executives.
- Structured, rigorous approach to managing proof-of-value projects.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000–$140,000.
- OTE: $175,000–$200,000.
