Fraud Data Partnerships

Leads data acquisition and partner strategy for Plaid’s fraud products, managing critical relationships, complex deals, and cross-functional execution. Requires 5–7+ years of fraud or identity-verification partnership experience and strong commercial and operational judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution for supply-side and data acquisition efforts across Plaid’s Fraud product area, including IDV, Monitor, Layer, and Protect.
  • Own and grow critical data-partner relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work with product leadership and cross-functional leaders to operationalize data partners across fraud products.
  • Help data science and research teams define the source-data ecosystem for IDV and Protect according to the three-year strategy.
  • Optimize unit economics at scale, establish provider redundancies, strengthen partner relationships, and maintain alignment with Legal, Risk, and Finance requirements.
  • Represent Plaid in external partnership discussions and proactively build relationships across the fraud and identity ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Plaid’s IDV and fraud product stack and the fraud market.
  • Domain expertise in identity verification and fraud markets, including ecosystem participants, competitive dynamics, business-unit economics, and feature sets.
  • Experience with data or product partnerships for a fraud, identity verification, or identity company.
  • Strong deal acumen and experience leading complex deals end to end, including product and data flows, liability, and performance considerations.
  • Entrepreneurial and cross-functional skills, with the ability to navigate stakeholders autonomously and improve processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Product partnerships experience involving product organizations.
  • Cross-functional leadership skills comparable to a general manager, business operations, corporate development, business development, or revenue operations role.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience reporting to senior leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $186,000–$274,200.
  • Equity and/or commission may be available depending on the position offered.
  • Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
