Senior Product Manager, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Own the vision and roadmap for the frontend, spanning the design system and the front-end platform, and ladder durable platform investments to company initiatives so design and engineering can focus on customers.
• Evolve our design system from a broad component library into smaller, composable building blocks with consistent APIs, including making components first-class for AI and LLM-driven experiences.
• Drive accessibility and internationalization programs to their committed milestones, including global-scale localization and meeting accessibility standards.
• Partner with our AI team to enable the agentic patterns product teams need to build the next generation of Vanta experiences.
• Run go-to-market and adoption for design-system changes, and lead ongoing quality and "paper cuts" triage as the craft team for the entire product.
• Partner closely with your engineering and design leads as a triad, continuously prioritizing the highest-impact work across a wide surface area.
• Look 12 to 18 months ahead at how the design system and front-end platform scale with Vanta, including AI-native use.

Requirements

• 4-8+ years of product management experience, with real ownership of a design system, frontend platform, or developer and design experience that served many teams.
• Bring craft and taste at scale. You have a clear point of view on quality, you can scale it across many teams, and you earn craft credibility with senior design and product leaders.
• Have a builder's mindset. You're not an engineer, but you're hands-on: you spin up prototypes and demos and build with the same component building blocks that your team ships.
• Collaborate horizontally and build trust. You serve every product team as an internal platform, build consensus across the company, and you're the partner other teams are glad to see at their door.
• Think in systems. You reason about how components, tokens, patterns, and front-end infrastructure fit together and cascade across every product surface.
• Tell the story. You translate why front-end and design-system investment matters into clear business value for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work, demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
