Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision for workplace experiences across 10 global office locations.
- Lead and develop a global Workplace team, including managers and service providers.
- Partner with Finance and senior stakeholders on office space strategy, budgets, and portfolio management.
- Determine when to pursue leased offices versus flexible workspace options such as WeWork, Spaces, or Regus.
- Develop business cases and advise international brokers on cost-effective workplace options.
- Manage lease terms, negotiations, vendor selection, service contracts, RFPs, and vendor performance reviews.
- Lead the global employee experience calendar and company events strategy, emphasizing inclusion and belonging.
- Track attendance, spending, workplace metrics, and financial performance across the global portfolio.
- Represent Workplace & Engagement in senior leadership forums and translate strategy into business outcomes.
- Work regularly from the Oakland office and travel to other global locations as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of workplace, facilities, or office management experience.
- Significant experience managing a multi-country or global office portfolio; experience with 10+ locations is a strong plus.
- 7+ years of people management experience, including managing managers.
- Demonstrated leadership in global experience design or culture-building programs.
- Expertise in commercial real estate, workplace strategy, lease terms, and negotiations across the United States and international markets.
- Experience building business cases and managing global budgets in partnership with Finance.
- Experience directing international brokers and assessing workplace options against business requirements.
- Knowledge of work-from-home and hybrid-work trends, with the ability to use data for business recommendations.
- Strong people management, prioritization, influencing, collaboration, and change-management skills.
- Excellent judgment and poise when handling unexpected challenges.
