Business Development Representative

The founding UK Business Development Representative will build outbound sales motions, engage finance leaders, qualify prospects, and accelerate pipeline growth. The role requires strong communication, commercial curiosity, analytical experimentation, and experience in sales development or a comparable customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve the UK outbound sales development motion by testing messaging, channels, targeting, and strategy.
  • Run message tests, analyze channel ROI, and explore new outreach tactics.
  • Refine outbound processes and take ownership of execution in a results-driven environment.
  • Partner with the GTM team to provide feedback on MQLs, campaigns, and prospect engagement.
  • Conduct personalized strategic outreach to high-priority accounts and convert cold and warm leads into qualified opportunities.
  • Drive and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for prospects, conduct qualification calls, and guide them through early evaluation.
  • Understand customer needs and communicate the company’s value proposition clearly and credibly.
  • Build familiarity with finance and accounting workflows to engage sophisticated buyers.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales development, business development, or another customer-facing role at a high-performing SaaS startup, accounting or consulting firm, or similar environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial curiosity and interest in financial operations and accounting.
  • Proactive, action-oriented approach with the ability to move quickly.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute across multiple projects.
  • Analytical and curious mindset, with an interest in using data to inform decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with GTM, product, and leadership teams.
