About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end model delivery on the platform, from scoping and build through testing, iteration, and customer delivery.
  • Build and maintain production-grade Python models using modern engineering and modelling practices.
  • Work directly with customer actuarial teams and internal stakeholders to solve complex, ambiguous modelling and coding problems.
  • Improve team quality through code review, testing, and best-practice model development guidance.
  • Mentor junior model developers through pairing, feedback, and delivery support.
  • Improve model development standards, tooling, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping and maintaining production-grade Python code in complex or data-heavy environments.
  • Experience applying predictive modelling or advanced analytics in real-world settings.
  • Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems, create structure, and drive high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders or customers and translating requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-trust, high-accountability environment.
