Responsibilities
- Own qualified inbound leads through discovery, demos, proof-of-concept engagements, and technical wins.
- Identify billing challenges, product launch timelines, technical requirements, and engagement blockers.
- Build relationships with engineering, finance, product, and technical founder stakeholders.
- Run streamlined demos tailored to technical founders and product and engineering teams.
- Create actionable implementation plans for usage-based billing launches.
- Write code snippets, configuration examples, and integration guides.
- Pair program with customer teams during proof-of-concept engagements and initial setup.
- Design pragmatic upstream and downstream integrations with prospect systems.
- Advise AI companies on monetization, pricing, packaging, and implementation strategies.
- Build expertise in AI industry trends, pricing models, and competitive dynamics.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing SaaS roles such as sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical account management, or implementation consulting.
- 1+ year of experience working with, at, or selling to AI companies.
- Ability to independently own customer-facing engagements and relationships.
- Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to learn new systems, write code snippets, and guide technical implementations.
- Experience in high-velocity environments where speed to value is important.
- Excellent communication skills with engineers, product managers, and technical founders.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of quote-to-cash processes and tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and CPQs.
- Experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in another technical role.
- Experience in a pure sales role, especially selling to technical buyers or as an early-stage startup salesperson.
- Familiarity with AI developer tooling such as Cursor, Lovable, Vercel, and LangChain.
- Knowledge of the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem.
