Forward Deployed Engineer - EMEA
Build and deploy production-grade, AI-powered coding workflows directly with customer engineering teams. The role combines discovery, end-to-end software development, production reliability, and clear communication with senior technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with customer engineers to identify bottlenecks and define clear success metrics.
- Design and build Cursor-powered workflows, including large-scale refactors, migrations, pull-request review loops, incident-to-fix pipelines, and specification-to-implementation systems.
- Ship an initial version quickly, then harden it into a reliable production system with rollout plans, monitoring, and usage-driven iteration.
- Own production quality through tracing, evaluations, metrics, model-behavior debugging, latency and cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode analysis.
- Work directly with Staff+, platform, and engineering leaders while communicating tradeoffs and results clearly.
- Turn built workflows into reusable patterns and contribute improvements to the core Cursor product.
Requirements
- Experience turning ambiguous problems into clear scopes and shipped systems.
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production, including debugging real-world model failures.
- Ability to lead discovery conversations and own customer outcomes.
- End-to-end development skills across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and prompt iteration.
- Experience with production reliability, including metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, and incident response.
- Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with the ability to ramp quickly on new technology stacks.
