Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact across AI labs, building relationships with senior product and engineering stakeholders to drive joint innovation.
- Shape joint product roadmaps by translating partner capabilities and integration needs into platform requirements.
- Navigate complex relationships to align joint product offerings with the needs of the company, partners, and customers.
- Design and build integrations connecting and extending both platforms.
- Build proofs of concept and reference architectures for engineering teams to productize or customers to deploy.
- Work with strategic customers to align AI architecture and roadmap needs with partner and platform development.
- Develop and maintain technical field-enablement content, including joint architectures and value propositions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in field engineering, consulting, platform architecture, or AI systems development.
- Deep understanding of production AI systems, including model serving, inference, retrieval, and agent frameworks.
- Hands-on engineering ability to develop proofs of concept, build demos, and debug integrations.
- Experience with Python, REST APIs, and SDKs.
- Established relationships within product and engineering functions at major AI labs and cloud providers.
- Experience with strategic technical partnerships, multi-company engineering initiatives, consensus building, and architectural leadership.
- Deep knowledge of the Databricks platform and ability to design AI architectures spanning Databricks and partner products.
- Strong communication and influence skills across Product, Engineering, partner teams, and executives.
- Willingness to travel globally to partner sites, conferences, and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Partner Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering, or Alliance Engineering roles at AI companies, cloud providers, global system integrators, or enterprise software companies.
- Experience taking AI systems to production at enterprise scale, including evaluation, cost and performance tuning, security, and governance.
- Experience working at or with a frontier lab or AI-native cloud provider.
- Track record of creating developer-facing technical content, such as reference architectures, deployment guides, blog posts, and conference presentations.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex.
Compensation and Benefits
- Zone 1 pay range: $150,200–$206,450 USD.
- Compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
