Solutions Delivery Manager

Responsibilities

• Navigate a budding product area through market adoption by partnering with internal product, enablement, and delivery teams, working directly with customers to build trust, and shaping the vision.
• Serve as a key advisor on customer accounts and provide expertise in the scientific and product space.
• Deliver services and oversee services engagements to ensure high-quality solutions and delivery.
• Build a roadmap of solution assets for the broader Customer Experience organization.
• Build and maintain solution assets, including best-practices documentation.
• Train and educate the Customer Experience organization through documentation, enablement initiatives, solution refreshes, and customer-engagement guidance.
• Collaborate across Customer Experience departments to incorporate customer learnings into solution assets.
• Operationalize new product introduction motions to deliver product insights.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to align product value and customer messaging.
• Learn existing and new verticals served by Benchling.

Requirements

• Fluency in medicinal chemistry or process-development chemistry, ideally both.
• Fluency with a chemistry-focused laboratory informatics tool.
• Experience with Benchling's platform and solutions and technical proficiency with Benchling products preferred.
• Customer experience expertise with a strong track record overseeing successful customer engagements.
• Superior customer service skills, including empathy, accuracy, resourcefulness, conscientiousness, and urgency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for working across departmental boundaries and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems and rapidly assimilate new knowledge and information.
• Flexibility, a bias toward action, and comfort working through ambiguity and independently making progress.
• 6+ years of laboratory experience in medicinal chemistry, process-development chemistry, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service or customer-facing roles.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related life sciences field required.
• Ph.D. in chemistry preferred.
