Responsibilities
- Own and grow priority payment method partnerships, particularly strategic wallets, buy now, pay later (BNPL) providers, and related payment partners.
- Manage day-to-day partner relationships and joint distribution initiatives.
- Lead commercial and product initiatives, including launching new offerings that benefit users.
- Develop and execute go-to-market and enablement plans to increase payment method distribution and adoption.
- Align internal and external stakeholders around shared goals, milestones, performance metrics, and mutual opportunities.
- Use industry and partner knowledge to inform partnership and product plans.
- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Product, Engineering, Sales, Product Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing.
- Create enablement resources and drive initiatives that increase payment method adoption.
- Identify partner champions, communicate Stripe’s value proposition, and build alignment between teams.
- Set clear goals, maintain operational processes, and improve execution through performance insights.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, go-to-market growth, corporate development, payments, or a related field.
- Experience owning partner relationships, channel or distribution initiatives, and cross-functional commercial programs from planning through execution.
- Experience leading commercial discussions or negotiations using established deal strategies and frameworks.
- Experience working in a product-centric environment with significant internal and external dependencies.
- Strong analytical and operational skills, including goal and metric definition, workstream management, process discipline, and performance analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High agency and comfort operating in ambiguity, with sound judgment about when to seek input, build alignment, or escalate.
