Responsibilities

  • Acquire net new customers and drive new revenue within an assigned territory while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Understand customers’ business and technical requirements across industries and design solutions using Twilio’s communications API platform.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to address customer requirements and help customers get started on the Twilio platform.
  • Advise customers on digital communication strategies and simplify complex technical and financial details.
  • Balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals simultaneously.
  • Develop new processes and contribute to building team playbooks.
  • Travel occasionally for project or team meetings as required.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales development or business development experience at a technology company, or at least 1 year of closing experience in another industry.
  • Understanding of, or interest in learning, the cloud computing and communications business model.
  • Enthusiasm for selling to technical audiences using a solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with technical solutions selling and customer-focused problem solving.
  • High adaptability and comfort trying new approaches in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly pay ranges, where applicable by location, are $30.09–$37.61, $31.77–$39.71, or $33.44–$41.80.
  • May be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan.
  • Benefits may include health care insurance, a 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, and paid parental leave.
  • Eligible to earn commissions.
