Solution Engineer - Vehicle OS
Works directly with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to deploy Vehicle OS across middleware, developer tooling, and in-vehicle infotainment. The role requires automotive software experience, customer-facing technical problem solving, programming ability, and familiarity with SDV architectures and protocols.

Responsibilities
- Act as the technical bridge between automotive customers and Applied Intuition’s engineering and product teams.
- Support OEMs in adopting the Vehicle OS middleware stack, developer SDK, and IVI/infotainment integrations.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, demonstrations, and early-stage deployments with OEM and Tier 1 engineering teams.
- Help customers adopt the code-first developer toolchain, onboard engineering teams onto the SDK, set up virtual ECU environments, and integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Guide OEMs through service-oriented vehicle architecture design and implementation, including integration across ECUs, domain controllers, and high-performance compute platforms.
- Work with IVI and infotainment teams on Android Automotive OS integration, Linux-based IVI deployment, HMI/cluster software, and Cabin Intelligence features.
- Collaborate with customers and internal product teams to triage and resolve technical issues.
- Manage project milestones and communicate progress across customer and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with automotive OEMs or suppliers, ideally in software-defined vehicles, E/E architecture, developer tooling, or IVI.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic or Adaptive and automotive developer tooling.
- Familiarity with SOME/IP, DDS, CAN, LIN, or automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with SDK-based development, virtual ECUs, SIL environments, automotive CI/CD pipelines, AAOS, Linux-based IVI, HMI/cluster software, or display middleware.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements in parallel with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working directly with customers on complex software and vehicle-system problems.
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Basic or intermediate programming experience in C/C++, Python, or a similar language.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- German or another European language is a significant plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Applied Intuition’s Vehicle OS or a comparable SDV platform.
- Knowledge of zonal E/E architectures, HPC platforms, or software-defined networking in vehicles.
- Experience with OTA systems and vehicle software lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety or SOTIF in IVI or ADAS systems.
- Experience with driver monitoring, occupant monitoring, in-cabin perception, or AI interaction.
- Exposure to perception systems or AI/ML pipelines for in-vehicle experiences.
- Experience with simulation environments or digital twin platforms.
- Project management experience in cross-functional, customer-facing programs.
