Forward Deployed Software Engineer
Build and deploy customer-specific software and data solutions for complex, high-stakes problems. The role requires strong programming and analytical skills, collaborative customer engagement, independent execution, security clearance eligibility, and Dutch fluency.

Core Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand complex problems and design and implement data-driven solutions.
- Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects with minimal supervision.
- Discuss architecture with engineers, work with large-scale data, build custom web applications, engage customer executives, and establish team strategy.
- Collaborate with other Forward Deployed Software Engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, and customers, often onsite.
- Manage time and priorities independently, make decisions autonomously, and continuously learn new technologies and domains.
- Travel to client sites as needed; 25–50% travel may be expected depending on the team and location.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Analytical approach to solving technical problems involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and related tools.
- Experience or interest in using large-scale data to solve business problems.
- Strong programming ability in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Dutch language fluency.
