Responsibilities
- Own and grow relationships with Numeral’s largest and most strategic accounting and CPA firm partners.
- Create strategic partnerships from the ground up by identifying target firms, building business cases, and structuring and negotiating relationships.
- Build and execute joint partnership plans aligned with Numeral’s and partners’ goals.
- Engage accounting-firm partners, practice leaders, and senior stakeholders to deepen strategic alignment and executive sponsorship.
- Drive referrals, co-marketing, joint content, partner enablement, and strategic initiatives.
- Design and run enablement programs, including trainings and certifications, so partner teams can identify and refer sales tax and VAT exposure.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Growth, Direct Sales, Product, and Engineering on campaigns, events, product integrations, client onboarding, and product-roadmap feedback.
- Define partner-success metrics and report partnership health in executive-level quarterly business reviews.
- Contribute to channel strategy and execution.
- Track, analyze, and report partner performance against agreed KPIs while facilitating internal and external stakeholder alignment.
- Travel for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of partner or alliance management experience, including direct experience with the accounting or CPA industry.
- Proven success owning and growing large, strategic partner relationships beyond transactional referral partnerships.
- Experience creating partnerships from scratch, including target identification, pitching, relationship structuring, and negotiation.
- Experience designing and executing joint partnership or business plans spanning referrals, marketing, enablement, and strategic initiatives.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior accounting-firm leadership.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic mindset with willingness to build hands-on in an evolving program and channel.
- Existing leadership network within accounting and advisory firms.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working within an accounting or CPA firm, such as a Big Four, regional, or advisory practice.
- Experience building a strategic partnerships function from the ground up at an early- or growth-stage SaaS or fintech company.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $170,000–$205,000, plus equity.
