The Forward Deployed Software Engineer works directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and deliver end-to-end, data-driven software solutions. The role requires strong coding skills, analytical problem-solving, collaboration, autonomy, and extensive travel throughout Europe.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand complex problems and design and implement data-driven solutions.
- Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects with minimal supervision.
- Discuss architecture with engineers and stakeholders.
- Work with massive-scale data and develop custom web applications.
- Engage with customer executives and establish strategy for project teams.
- Collaborate with fellow Forward Deployed Engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, and customers.
- Work autonomously, manage priorities, and make independent decisions.
- Learn new technologies and languages and share knowledge with peers.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Analytical approach to solving technical problems involving data structures, storage systems, on-premises and cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience or interest in using large-scale data to solve business problems.
- Strong coding ability with proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel throughout Europe 70–90% of the time.
- NATO security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Fluency in English.
