Responsibilities
Roadmap and Vision
- Define product strategy and roadmap for Okta Identity Security functionality.
- Evangelize product vision to engineering, product, and customer audiences.
- Prioritize features that improve customer security posture and administrative usability.
- Use product data and usage metrics to guide roadmap decisions and measure security and business outcomes.
Product Delivery and Execution
- Drive timely, within-budget delivery of the Identity Security roadmap.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, design, scrum teams, and Technical Program Managers to deliver platform-first experiences and security features.
- Prioritize investments across multiple security product areas.
Customer and Market Engagement
- Gather customer security requirements and document user stories and use cases.
- Understand customer challenges involving identity threats, access control, and network security.
- Incorporate beta feedback into product iterations and maintain customer relationships during beta programs.
- Collaborate with technical marketing, sales, and product marketing on competitive positioning, messaging, content, go-to-market strategy, pricing, and packaging.
- Support the field on critical customer security requests and help unblock sales.
Product Ownership
- Lead quarterly business reviews and collaborate with go-to-market teams to expand the customer pipeline.
- Identify new product opportunities and drive development of identity security products and platform capabilities.
- Interview and select candidates and mentor early-career product managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Proven strategic vision and product design experience for security-focused products.
- Experience creating new product offerings, including go-to-market strategy, pricing, product naming, legal contracts, and New Product Introduction.
- Experience defining and driving Threat Protection, Threat Intelligence, SaaS Security, and Network Security product suites.
- Experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise security products or services.
- Strong technical background and ability to influence security architecture, technical design, and investment decisions.
- Ability to develop action plans from incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous security inputs.
- Strong influence, leadership, executive presence, and player-coach capabilities.
- Excellent communication across technical and business audiences.

- Deep knowledge of enterprise security products, cybersecurity frameworks, and security best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) and its relationship to security.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and threat detection standards.

- Experience creating and managing multi-tenant SaaS security products.
- Passion for identity security and willingness to learn broadly across business and technical security contexts.
Compensation and Benefits
- ATS-listed salary range: $208,000–$349,000 USD.
