Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end payments vision and multi-year strategy across client charges, card-on-file, practitioner payouts, insurance billing and claims payments, embedded finance, and financing products.
- Manage payment vendors and partner relationships, including RFPs, performance management, contract renewals, negotiations, and escalations.
- Analyze the payments and fintech landscape to guide build, buy, and partner decisions and identify strategic opportunities.
- Serve as the internal payments subject-matter expert and advocate for practitioner and client needs.
- Drive a data-driven roadmap using market research and quantitative and qualitative insights while balancing reliability, risk, compliance, growth, and revenue.
- Partner with Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Legal on PCI DSS, card network rules, money transmission, and healthcare billing requirements.
- Define pricing, monetization, and take-rate strategies with Finance and Business Operations.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Account Management on go-to-market strategy, adoption, launches, and complex accounts.
- Validate new payment offerings through prototypes, pilots, and customer feedback before scaling.
- Mentor product managers and raise standards for platform thinking, risk-aware design, and cross-functional execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience, including significant hands-on ownership of payments, embedded finance, or fintech products at scale.
- Deep understanding of processors, card networks, acquiring and issuing, settlement, payouts, disputes, and chargebacks.
- Experience operating in regulated environments and managing payment partner relationships.
- Experience running formal vendor RFPs, negotiating contracts, and managing ongoing vendor performance.
- Track record of incubating and scaling products from discovery and validation through adoption and commercialization.
- Customer-focused, data-driven product leadership and strong quantitative and qualitative decision-making skills.
- Strong risk and compliance judgment.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD annually.
