Principal Product Manager, AI Products

Responsibilities

• Own the thesis for the next generation of Komodo Health’s product suite by studying customer workflows, determining what should exist, and revising the strategy as AI models improve.
• Build first versions of products using AI tools and platform primitives; partner with engineering to scale validated concepts and discontinue low-value efforts.
• Deploy products in customer environments, scope work during contracting cycles, and treat deployment as part of the product.
• Define and defend the shape of the growing product portfolio, including determining how existing solutions evolve or are retired.
• Establish product architecture and build practices for surrounding surface pods.
• Build the first version of at least two new products and lead a pod of four or fewer from prototype through general availability without dedicated project management.
• Deliver measurable revenue, adoption, or retention impact and retire or consolidate at least one legacy solution without customer churn.

Requirements

• 9+ years of product management experience.
• At least one conceived and shipped product generating real revenue.
• Demonstrated ability to build first versions personally; the interview includes a building exercise.
• Deep, product-level understanding of AI context and grounding, evaluations, quality gates, agent behavior, and cost.
• Experience working in customer environments and during contracting cycles, with sound real-time judgment.
• Excellent written communication.
• Ability to use AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Cursor to improve productivity, workflows, and decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

• Healthcare or regulated-data experience, including claims, EHR, patient journeys, or provider analytics.
• Experience through a platform transition.
• Experience retiring a product without losing customers.
• Experience interacting with, managing, or building agentic AI workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base pay ranges from $213,000 to $331,000 USD depending on geographic location.
• San Francisco Bay Area and New York City: $245,000–$331,000 USD.
• All other US locations: $213,000–$288,000 USD.
• Potential performance-based bonus and equity awards.
