Enterprise Sales Engineer
Partners with enterprise sales teams to lead discovery, technical evaluations, demos, and workshops for Datadog solutions. The role requires 5+ years in sales or solutions engineering, strong enterprise communication skills, and expertise in cloud, Kubernetes, observability, and related technologies.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to communicate Datadog’s value and address customers’ technical and business challenges.
- Lead technical evaluations, product demos, technical presentations, and workshops.
- Own the technical strategy across opportunities from PG to Closed Won in partnership with Account Executives.
- Conduct customer discovery, identify technical challenges and business goals, and translate them into tailored Datadog solutions.
- Project-manage technical evaluations (POVs), including use-case scoping, requirements, success criteria, timelines, and accountability.
- Identify and cultivate technical champions within customer accounts.
- Participate in product and engineering feedback sessions as the technical voice of the customer.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, deal progress, and customer interactions in related systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and GTM teams to address customer needs and resolve technical blockers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
- Experience navigating multi-stakeholder environments and adapting communication for technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Background in public cloud, Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
- Consultative problem-solving and customer engagement approach.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset and willingness to use AI tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.
