Engineering Manager - Front-End Background

Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and responsive user interfaces.
- Optimize frontend performance for smooth and efficient user experiences.
- Address real-time collaboration challenges, including concurrent editing and resilience to network disruptions, using efficient caching and a single source of truth.
- Translate functional requirements into elegant designs and high-quality code.
- Understand product and customer needs and suggest ideas that maximize value for end users.
- Coach up to six direct reports, typically through biweekly guidance and support.
- Define expectations, provide feedback, and create career development plans using a skill-leveling matrix.
- Participate in performance decisions, including salary-raise calibration and underperformance remediation.
- Optionally lead engineering-structure projects such as technical demos, All Hands meetings, or improvements to the skill-leveling matrix.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience with a product in production, typically 7–8 years for managers.
- At least 2–3 years of people-management experience.
- Proven frontend experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, React, Vue, and Angular.
- Fluent English.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and user-experience focus.
- Humility and willingness to continue learning.
Compensation and Benefits
