Technical Implementation Manager, Lob Logistics
Own end-to-end technical onboarding and integration for Lob Logistics customers and partners, from discovery through production stabilization. The role requires 5+ years in customer-facing technical implementation or solutions work, hands-on API troubleshooting, complex physical-operations experience, and regular travel.

Responsibilities
- Own customer implementations from verbal commitment through launch and the first 30 days in production.
- Lead technical discovery and scoping; understand customer systems, mail workflows, data requirements, production needs, postage strategy, billing, and integration architecture.
- Travel regularly to customer and partner locations for scoping, technical working sessions, testing, and launch support.
- Develop implementation plans covering requirements, dependencies, testing criteria, and launch readiness.
- Configure customer profiles and integrations across Lob Logistics systems and commingle partners.
- Own testing, UAT, go-live, and production stabilization before transitioning customers to their long-term account owner.
- Integrate customers through APIs or the customer portal.
- Troubleshoot API requests, JSON payloads, authentication, webhooks, data mappings, and integration errors.
- Use Claude Code and other development tools to investigate issues, build scripts and utilities, create working examples, and accelerate integrations.
- Identify the source of technical issues and drive them to resolution; automate repetitive implementation work where possible.
- Determine whether requirements can be addressed through configuration or require custom development.
- Scope custom requirements and provide Engineering with requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical context.
- Coordinate USPS and commingling requirements, including PAFs, postal promotions, customer profiles, mail owner and mail service provider configurations, and related setup.
- Ensure integrations work across the complete physical mail workflow.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, technical consulting, implementation strategy, solutions architecture, customer success, or a similar customer-facing technology role.
- Strong understanding of business systems, applications, data integrations, APIs, data flows, authentication, and system integrations.
- Experience in direct mail, print manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, shipping, payments, EDI, or another environment connecting software to complex physical operations.
- Experience gathering customer requirements and recommending practical technical solutions.
- Ability to translate ambiguous needs and business processes into technical requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans.
- Ability to partner with customer engineers, IT teams, and internal technical teams to guide integrations and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to identify technical risks, dependencies, and gaps and coordinate resolutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, customer orientation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple complex implementations and lead technical discovery conversations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer and partner locations.

- Familiarity with modern technical tools and AI-assisted development tools.
- Understanding of USPS mail preparation, Intelligent Mail barcodes, PostalOne!, Mail.dat, Mail.XML, PAF requirements, postal promotions, commingling, drop shipping, or destination entry.
