Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, post-sales implementation and deployment consulting services to customers.
- Gather, analyze, and document post-sales requirements.
- Communicate with customers and partners at appropriate technical and functional levels.
- Design and deploy solutions that support customer goals and satisfaction.
- Manage project scope, schedules, status, documentation, change controls, and time tracking.
- Mentor and train customers and less experienced team members.
- Liaise with Product Management to influence product development.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Customer Success, and Sales to resolve issues, transition deployments, and identify expansion opportunities.
- Configure and troubleshoot the Okta service.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer deployment projects.
- Apply identity federation, access control, cloud architecture, enterprise IT, SaaS deployment, software development, and identity lifecycle management expertise to customer solutions.
- Contribute to delivery process improvement, standard methodologies, new offerings, and knowledge repositories.
- Travel to customer sites approximately 25% of the time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
- Software development experience with technologies such as Java, Ruby, .NET, PHP, and REST/JSON.
- Knowledge of enterprise web technologies, security, cloud architectures, and complex on-premise IT environments.
- Experience with JavaScript and a major JavaScript MVC framework.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, multitask, and manage multiple customer engagements.
- Strong communication, presentation, issue-tracking, triage, crisis-management, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have
- API management experience with MuleSoft, Axway, or Apigee.
- SaaS deployment experience with Salesforce, Box, Office 365, Workday, and HR identity systems.
- Experience designing and implementing security and identity management solutions.
- Experience with SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Active Directory and LDAP experience.
- Experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT.
Compensation and Benefits
- ATS-listed salary range: $157,000–$242,000.
- OTE for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area: $176,000–$242,000 USD.
