The Senior Applied Value Engineer will design, prototype, and deliver AI- and Process Intelligence-driven solutions for strategic CPG and retail customers. The role requires 8+ years of technical pre- and post-sales experience, deep retail domain expertise, Python and ML proficiency, and strong executive communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead AI discovery, solutioning, and technical demonstrations for strategic CPG and retail customers.
- Drive pre-sales and post-sales engagements from technical discovery through implementation, adoption, and value realization.
- Build rapid AI prototypes and hackathon solutions for inventory, fulfillment, demand forecasting, trade promotion, and related retail challenges.
- Architect and execute secure, scalable proof-of-value projects using LLMs, agents, RAG, tools, and guardrails.
- Translate retail and CPG business requirements into measurable AI and Process Intelligence outcomes.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert across supply chain, inventory, trade promotion, category management, loss prevention, warehouse operations, omnichannel, DTC, and sustainability.
- Advise customers on WMS optimization, RFID tracking, micro-fulfillment, order routing, order-to-cash, returns, dynamic pricing, loyalty integrations, emissions tracking, cold-chain efficiency, food waste, and sustainable packaging.
Requirements
- 8+ years leading end-to-end technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements in CPG, retail, or e-commerce.
- Experience defining AI roadmaps, building ROI/TCO business cases, and guiding technical implementations to value realization.
- Deep knowledge of retail and CPG business processes, including inventory management, supply chain, trade promotion, category management, or loss prevention.
- Proficiency with Python and common machine learning libraries and data engineering tools.
- Strong presentation, storytelling, whiteboarding, executive communication, and live demonstration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer science, business analytics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience building agentic systems with LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, prompt engineering, and enterprise evaluations.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and generative AI techniques such as few-shot learning, multi-agent orchestration, and multimodal understanding.
- Experience deploying and monitoring models at scale on AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or Google Cloud Vertex AI.
- Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Snowflake, POS data formats, and large-scale transactional and inventory data.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD for the New York location.
- Total compensation may include base salary, bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.
