AI Operations Associate

Build and scale Flagler Health’s AI and automation systems across clinical and back-office operations. The role requires hands-on experience with AI tooling, APIs, scripting, workflow automation, and cross-functional execution in an ambiguous, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the automation roadmap and deliver measurable operational leverage.
  • Shadow clinical and back-office teams to identify high-ROI automation opportunities and establish repeatable processes for capturing, shipping, and monitoring production automations.
  • Lead data integrations across major EHRs, including error handling and pipeline reliability.
  • Select appropriate tooling, including APIs, portal integrations, browser and desktop automation, and screen-level robots.
  • Build and maintain internal AI tooling, including LLMs, agent frameworks, and knowledge assistants; train teammates to use them effectively.
  • Scope and manage automation vendors, ensuring delivery, quality, and reliability.
  • Partner with Engineering on integration patterns, data contracts, and product-versus-operations decisions.
  • Enforce documentation, monitoring, and change-management practices.
  • Translate workflow-level insights from operators and clinicians into product and roadmap input.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in management consulting, software engineering, product management, or a similar analytical or technical role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an action-oriented approach to scoping, building, and shipping solutions end to end.
  • Fluency with modern AI tooling, including LLMs, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with APIs and light scripting in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to read code, write automations, learn new tools, and debug work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations.
  • Bachelor's degree.
