Senior People Operations Manager

Own People Operations systems, process transformation, data governance, compliance, and technology programs in a high-growth technology environment. The role partners across Payroll, Finance, IT, Legal, vendors, and People leadership to build scalable, documented, and user-friendly operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead People Operations programs end-to-end, defining scope, ownership, milestones, risks, and success measures.
  • Own core People technology platforms, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, and performance tools; manage configuration, upgrades, and feature evaluations.
  • Lead technology deployments, platform conversions, and module rollouts across IT, HRIS, and vendor teams.
  • Build and maintain a People technology roadmap, including technology research, benchmarking, and investment recommendations.
  • Apply AI and emerging tools to improve People Operations workflows.
  • Establish HR data governance standards, audits, mass-change approvals, and corrective actions.
  • Design and implement tiered HR support models with escalation paths and service levels.
  • Map and redesign workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to reduce manual work and improve automation.
  • Maintain an audit-ready SOP and documentation library.
  • Own compliance programs including I-9/E-Verify, records retention, system access auditing, employment law, and data privacy requirements.
  • Manage EOR and software-vendor relationships and lead escalations.
  • Facilitate alignment among managers, HR leadership, Payroll, Finance, IT, Legal, HRBPs, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Experience owning People Operations programs in a high-growth technology environment and creating structure amid ambiguity.
  • Experience administering HR platforms such as an HRIS, ATS, or LMS, including configuration, rollouts, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience building or contributing to a People technology roadmap and evaluating tools.
  • Experience documenting and redesigning employee-lifecycle processes to reduce manual work.
  • Experience influencing Payroll, Finance, IT, or Legal partners without direct authority.
  • Structured project management experience with multi-stakeholder initiatives, dependencies, risks, and executive-ready updates.
  • Experience establishing or enforcing HR data governance standards.
  • Experience managing compliance programs proactively through audits and controls.
  • Clear, adaptable communication across employee and leadership audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity, Lattice, or ChartHop.
  • Experience migrating between major HR platforms.
  • Familiarity with employer-of-record models and distributed global workforces.
  • Experience building or refining tiered HR service models.
  • Experience applying AI to redesign team workflows.
