Installs and supports restaurant POS systems through virtual assessments, onsite hardware deployment, network troubleshooting, and staff training. The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, extensive POS installation experience, networking expertise, and fluent English and Spanish.

Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual and onsite site surveys for restaurant POS installations.
- Validate wiring, electrical infrastructure, networking, internet performance, and site readiness.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, including traceroutes, port checks, speed, latency, and DNS testing.
- Document infrastructure gaps, risks, photos, diagrams, and survey outcomes in internal systems.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and vendors and follow up on remediation.
- Install and configure POS hardware, including workstations, printers, pin pads, cash drawers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Complete cabling, patching, connectivity setup, menu and system updates, and reporting configuration.
- Deliver onsite staff training and live support for restaurant teams and management.
- Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and support pre- and post-installation activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and engineering teams.
- Mentor junior specialists and contribute to improvements in survey tools, templates, SOPs, and internal processes.
- Travel regularly to client sites.
- Follow SOPs, SLAs, checklists, and quality-assurance processes.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional experience in customer success or related roles.
- Experience with 50 or more POS installations or comparable technical deployments.
- Deep understanding of networking infrastructure, including low-voltage cabling, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting escalated technical issues and translating network findings for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems, multi-terminal deployments, and technology installations in QSR, full-service, franchise, retail, or multi-location environments.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-site projects independently and mentor junior team members.
- Experience conducting client-facing walkthroughs, training staff, and communicating technical information via Zoom or in person.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, POS hardware and software, menus, modifiers, and reporting workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and travel and expense management tools.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluent written and verbal English and Spanish.
Nice to Have
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Systems Administration, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management with strong technical acumen.
- Experience in fintech or SaaS environments.
- Additional language proficiency.
