Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions.
- Ship large features and improvements with minimal guidance while collaborating on larger projects.
- Solve technical problems of the highest scope and complexity for the team.
- Translate high-level business requirements into software designs and communicate designs to other developers.
- Review and provide feedback on code, features, technology, architecture, and designs.
- Drive standards for code quality and testing across the product.
- Drive the team's technical roadmap and architecture.
- Mentor junior engineers and remove blockers to their autonomy.
- Act as the technical lead for the pod or team and drive large initiatives.
- Partner with business and technical leadership to improve revenue and scale rapidly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8+ years of programming experience.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing the duties.
- Experience scaling products from 1 to 100 is ideal.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them.
- Passion for solving real customer pain points.
- Experience building scalable distributed systems.
- Experience building critical platform components that enable rapid product scaling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS, and Go.
- Experience with marketplace platforms.
