Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end features across the stack, including Java/Spring Boot backend services and responsive frontend interfaces.
• Build enterprise workflows for travel policies, approval chains, user roles, and permissions.
• Design and scale APIs and data services that manage high-volume data, preserve transactional integrity, support reporting, and enable integrations.
• Own the design, development, and launch of microservices and features within a technical domain.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams on complex cross-domain features.
• Help define and execute the long-term technical vision for the domain.
• Write well-tested, production-quality code; mentor engineers; and promote testing, monitoring, documentation, and operational reliability.

Requirements

• 7–9 years of professional software development experience building complex SaaS or consumer-facing web applications.
• Deep backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong data modeling, query optimization, and secure, scalable API design skills.
• 4+ years of frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Vue, plus TypeScript and application-state management.
• Experience designing scalable applications using microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Strong ownership, collaboration, communication, and production delivery skills.
• Ability to use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, CodeGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
