Responsibilities
- Own product or infrastructure direction for a major area, from initial development through scalable solutions with measurable business impact.
- Build and operate highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant systems processing hundreds of terabytes of data daily across thousands of customers.
- Debug low-level systems and optimize performance on large production clusters.
- Design architecture, influence product roadmaps, and take ownership of new projects.
- Prevent and investigate production issues.
- Plan and lead complex technical projects spanning multiple teams.
- Drive engineering roadmaps, technical direction, and organization-wide initiatives.
- Break down complex problems, prototype and validate potential solutions, and reduce technical risk.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to recruiting, lead sprint planning, and delegate work as a technical team lead.
Requirements
- 12+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, including real-world applications.
- Experience working toward multi-year technical visions with incremental deliverables.
- Experience driving company initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and impact.
- Ability to deliver customer value through software engineering.
- Experience with large-scale production systems, reliability, and fault tolerance.
